Glastonbury Community Health Conversations this November
Join us on November 18th or November 20th
Glastonbury residents and those who work in town are invited to participate in one of two interactive discussions about the Glastonbury Community Health Assessment on Monday, November 18th from 6 – 8 pm at the Glastonbury Riverfront Community Center (300 Welles Street) and Wednesday, November 20th from 6 – 8 pm at the Glastonbury Housing Authority (25 Risley Road). Please come share your thoughts about what influences the health of your family, friends and neighbors in town. Your feedback will greatly help to improve the health and well-being of our community.
The Health Department is working with B. Weyland Smith Consulting, LLC to engage both key partners and Glastonbury community members in discussions about issues affecting the health of Glastonbury residents. These community conversations will assist in determining which health issues will be addressed in a Community Health Improvement Plan. This plan is the next step that stems from a recently completed Glastonbury Community Health Assessment. The health assessment process has helped to better understand the issues affecting the health and quality of life of people who work and live in Glastonbury. With your input on what affects your health and that of your family and friends a Community Health Improvement Plan will be established in upcoming months.
Please invite a friend or neighbor and RSVP, so we can be sure to have plenty of refreshments, to the Health Department at 860-652-7637 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The complete 2019 Glastonbury Community Health Assessment will be available electronically later this fall on the Town of Glastonbury Website, with paper copies available at the Wells Turner Memorial Library.
