See the latest highlights, closures, and changes to town services
The Town is continuing to balance the health and safety of residents and staff with the ability to meet community needs during this unprecedented pandemic. Town services must continually adapt as new state regulations and information come to light, and the following summarize the most recent changes:
Playgrounds, Athletic Fields, and Dog Park CLOSED - Per the Governor's latest order restricting gatherings of 5 or more, the Town has CLOSED the playgrounds, athletic fields (e.g. basketball, tennis), pavilions, dog park, and other areas that encourage such congregating. This includes youth sports practices. Town parks and golf courses remain open at this time, however residents are encouraged to stay home, stay safe, and stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Dial-A-Ride SUSPENDED - For the health and safety of staff and riders, all Dial-A-Ride services have been SUSPENDED until further notice. Please contact Senior Services for alternate assistance with transportation as needed at (860) 652-7638.
Food Bank Available for Residents in Need - Residents in need of food or other daily essential are encouraged to contact Social Services, which can be done confidentially by calling (860) 652-7638 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Food Bank DONATIONS Now Accepted Online - To help support our neighbors in need, Glastonbury Social Services has begun accepting donations to the Food Bank through PayPal for resident convenience.
