The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct pavement marking work on Route 83 in Glastonbury beginning Sunday, Aug. 30, as part of a larger pavement marking project on state routes throughout Central Connecticut.
Work is scheduled to continue through Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, and will generally take place Sunday through Friday nights between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
The project includes pavement marking grooves, centerline rumble strips, and epoxy pavement marking applications on center lines and shoulder lines. Traffic control personnel, signs, cones, and truck-mounted attenuators will be used as needed to guide motorists through work zones.
The schedule may be modified or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists traveling through work areas are advised to use caution and maintain a safe speed.
